County Veterans Service Officers

County Veterans Service Officers can help veterans, their dependents or survivors, in filing for VA benefits including service-connected compensation, non-service connected disability pension, survivor�s pension, death and burial benefits, VA healthcare enrollment, education, home loan guaranty certificates, vocational rehabilitation, upgrading or correcting DD214s, and any other benefits available.

Ohio Apprenticeship Council

The Ohio Apprenticeship Council supervises formal apprenticeship programs to ensure the quality of apprenticeship training.

Ohio Department of Veterans Services

The Governor's Office of Veterans' Affairs advises the Governor on the state of veterans' affairs in Ohio, acts as a liaison with other levels of government agencies, provides operational oversight of the 88 County Veterans Service Offices, supervises the training, certification and accreditation of more than 600 county veterans service officers, commissioners and staff.

Veterans National Symposium

The National Symposium for the Needs of Young Veterans was organized by AMVETS and others who are committed to the welfare of America's military veterans. The symposium was the first of its kind to address specific problems in the nation's veterans' benefits system from the perspective of veterans.
